Michael Hicks joined Rotaract in 2015. He is a SLO High School and Cal Poly alumni who hasn’t found a reason good enough to leave the central coast yet. He currently works as a 401k consultant for Hicks Pension Services. He loves it; however, he often dreams of taking to the skies. Sadly he doesn’t have wings (a plane) so he had to settle for a pilot’s license. He joined Rotaract to meet other individuals with similar aspirations and to give back to the community he grew up in.
Leslie McKinley has served as the Director of Resource Development for United Way of San Luis Obispo County for three years. She retired from Cal Poly’s Orfalea College of Business as Director of College and Alumni Relations in 2008 and thought the life of Riley was calling to her, but life had other ideas! She loves working with United Way and believes strongly in the good work they do for the community, and for relaxation she has been singing with the Vocal Arts Ensemble of SLO for 25 years! Vocal Arts provides her with an outlet for two of her passions – singing and travel – so she feels that with her third passion, family, her life is very fulfilled.
Rachel Cementina is the Director of Community Engagement for United Way of San Luis Obispo County. She is proud to see how Flavor of SLO has grown over the past 8 years, and is looking forward to a successful event in 2017!
